IRVING NATURE PARK

The Irving Nature Park is a 600 acre (243 hectare) site created by J.D. Irving, Limited (JDI) to help protect an environmentally significant area. 

Just minutes from downtown Saint John, this special part of the Fundy coastline is a place where everyone can come and experience the various ecosystems of the Southern New Brunswick coastline.

On the way into the park families can stop to enjoy the Children’s Forest, featuring barbeques, a playground and life-size mazes.

Park visitors can enjoy the rugged beauty, boardwalks and lookout points. Special events like meteor showers, geological history, moonlight snowshoeing and story sessions are all free. 

The area nurtures one of the province's richest marine ecosystems. It's a traditional staging site for migratory and marine birds that travel between the Arctic and South America and a breeding ground for many waterfowl of the Atlantic coastline.  

Featuring forest and marsh, beaches and trails, it is ideal for recreational activities as well as interactive outdoor educational programs.

Park upkeep, educational programs and beautification are fully funded by J.D. Irving, Limited.

• 11 km (7 mi.) of rugged Bay of Fundy coastline
• Six different ecosystems with a diversity of flora and fauna
• Eight walking trails of varying lengths
• Boardwalk extending into the salt marsh 
• Seal Observation deck 
• Lookout Tower - the park's highest point with 360° view of  land and sea
