Over 400 Race in Irving Woodlands-Sponsored Caribou Marathon in Maine
This fall, runners had the opportunity to take in the natural beauty of Aroostook County, Maine while qualifying for the Boston Marathon. Irving Woodlands LLC spearheaded the sponsorship of the inaugural event which included over 400 runners.
“With help from Irving Woodlands, the City of Caribou was able to host one of the largest events in Northern Maine and the most Northeastern Marathon in the United States,” said Lydia Kieffer-Till, Marketing and Event Coordinator for City of Caribou, Maine.
“The event brought athletes and their families from all over the country and Canada, and, in turn, boosted our tourism and brought business to Aroostook County.”

Irving Woodlands LLC has been part of Aroostook County for 70 years. Peter Tabor, Regional Manager for Irving Woodlands said sponsoring the event was exciting for locals and visitors alike.
"We are thrilled to sponsor the Caribou Marathon. The county is home for us and we are proud to live, work and give back to great events like this race - an exciting opportunity to welcome competitors and supporters to the north Maine woods.”
