Midland Drivers win overall best team award at Atlantic Driving Championships

 

On Saturday, June 16, Midland drivers successfully competed in the 2018 Atlantic Driving Championships at the Commercial Safety College in Masstown, Nova Scotia. The event is hosted by the Atlantic Provinces Trucking Association and allows professional truck drivers to showcase their skills, with an emphasis on safety.

 

A total of 36 drivers competed in several divisions including: 2-Axle (Straight Truck), 4-Axle (Single Tandem), 5-Axle (Tandem-Tandem) and B-Train (Super B-Train).

 

The Midland participants won several awards, including the Overall Best Team Award. Midland has won the team award five out of the last seven years. “We’re proud of the quality of our drivers. Winning the team award reinforces our belief that we have the best group of drivers on the road. They are skilled professionals who are committed to safety,” said Rod Hudson, Director of Driver and Owner-Operator Relations at Midland Transport.
