Cynthia Léger from Sainte-Anne, New Brunswick has worked on projects at Kent Homes as a summer student over the last three years and has been awarded the Modular Building Institute (MBI) Canadian Foundation $2500 annual scholarship. Léger is a 4th year civil engineering student from Université de Moncton (U de M).

“I have had the opportunity to build my skills and experience while working as a project coordinator for a large-scale commercial project, as well as leading continuous improvement initiatives for both safety and quality processes at Kent Homes.” Léger said. “It really feels good to receive recognition for my hard work from the MBI and the scholarship cash award will go a long way to help with my tuition.”

Cynthia was recommended to apply for the scholarship by her colleague, Ray Girouard, Director of Commercial and Fleet Sales for Kent Homes.

“Cynthia was a perfect candidate for the academic award,” said Girouard. “Throughout the course of her summer employment, she showed dedication, teamwork, and the ability to manage several projects at once, with a sense of ease and confidence.”

Cynthia enjoys playing team sports such as hockey, soccer, and volleyball and was routinely recognized as most valuable player. Cynthia is engaged with her community through coaching children's hockey and volunteering at her local hospital.
