JDI Woodlands provides $23,000 in Scholarships to Employees Children

Every year J.D. Irving, Limited (JDI) awards scholarships to students pursuing post-secondary education whose parents are our valued employees. This year, 23 students whose parents work for JDI’s Woodlands Division, were awarded with scholarships to go toward their post-secondary education. A total of $23,000 in scholarships was provided this year.

“It’s an opportunity to make things easier for our employees’ families. It makes me very proud; to see these kids grow up and now they are going to be contributing to their communities in New Brunswick”, says Susan Wilson, Director of Human Resources, Sawmills and Woodlands.

“I was very excited to get the call from the Woodlands Division at J.D. Irving, Limited, letting me know I had been awarded a scholarship. This will certainly be a big help as I start my post-secondary education at Saint Mary's University. Thank You!” said Kaitlin Hourihan. Katilin’s father, Anthony Hourihan, is the Director of Forestry Relations.
