J.D. Irving Group of Companies Join as Premier Sponsor for the 2016 Skills Canada National Competition
J.D. Irving Group of Companies, have signed on as a Premier Sponsor at Canada's only national, multi-trade and technology event for skilled trade and technology students and apprentices in Moncton, NB, on June 5-8, 2016.
OTTAWA, April 12, 2016 /CNW/ - Skills/Compétences Canada (SCC), a not-for-profit organization that actively promotes careers in skilled trades and technologies, is proud to announce J.D. Irving Group of Companies is confirmed as a Premier Sponsor of the 2016 Skills Canada National Competition (SCNC).
SCC is pleased to welcome J.D. Irving Group of Companies as a Premier Sponsor of SCNC 2016. They will be providing lumber and hardware tools and accessories for numerous competition areas at SCNC through Kent Building Supplies. In addition they will also provide shipping services within the province from various colleges to the competition through Midland transport at no charge. Their generous support will enable SCC to better promote careers in skilled trades and technologies through SCNC.

From June 5-8, 2016, industry, government, labour representatives, educators and youth will gather in Moncton where over 550 secondary and post-secondary students will compete in more than 40 skilled trade and technology contests. It is an important event that attracts young career-seekers, employers, educators, and industry associations, and helps showcase the many opportunities available in the skilled trade and technology sectors.
