Irving Tissue Helps Spread Holiday Joy
Over $36,000 and tissue products donated to local non-profit organizations
Macon-Bibb County, Georgia – Seven Macon-Bibb County non-profit organizations received early gifts today as Irving Tissue delivers over $36,000 in donations and a truckload of tissue products.
“Not all of Santa’s elves live in the North Pole,” said Brian Solheim, Plant Manager for Irving Tissue in Macon. “Our team was busy helping deliver special surprises to many amazing organizations that help those in need in our community.”
The following organizations received financial support:
- Middle Georgia Community Food Bank
- United Way of Central Georgia
- Daybreak
- Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Georgia
- Macon Volunteer Clinic
- The Salvation Army of Greater Macon - Red Kettle Campaign
- The Otis Redding Foundation
“Our employees are proud to support each of these organizations. They were also thrilled to donate a truckload of tissue products to the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank,” said Solheim. “We’re proud of our team’s contributions and the high-quality tissue products we make right here in Macon!”
Irving Tissue opened their state-of-the-art tissue plant in Macon in 2019 and announced a phase two expansion that same year. The expansion will double the plant’s capacity, creating an additional 150 permanent skilled jobs, and will be complete by early 2022.
