Apply for the $32,000 JDI NB Scholarship at UNB by March 1!

J.D. Irving, Limited (JDI) and the University of New Brunswick (UNB) are currently accepting applications for the J. D. Irving, Limited NB Scholarships at UNB until March 1, 2018. These scholarships are valued at $8,000 per year and are renewable, based on academic performance, up to four years for a total of $32,000.

Awarded the first JDI NB Scholarship at UNB in 2015, Jacob shares the story of his reaction when he found he'd have $8,000 a year towards his education:

 



New Brunswick students beginning their studies in business, computer science, engineering or forestry at the University of New Brunswick in 2018 are invited to apply. The programs eligible for the scholarships include:

UNB Fredericton
• Bachelor of Business Administration 
• Bachelor of Computer Science 
• Bachelor of Information Systems 
• Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering 
• Bachelor of Science in Forestry 
• Bachelor of Environment & Natural Resources 
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering

UNB Saint John
• Bachelor of Business Administration 
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science 
• Bachelor of Information Sciences 
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering 

Selection is made on the basis of academic achievement, self-motivation, contribution to community/extra-curricular activities and financial need. 

Funded from a $1 million gift made to UNB in 2007 by J.D. Irving, Limited, these scholarships are intended to allow the most talented New Brunswick students to apply themselves more fully to their course work and to better prepare for their future careers.
