Spots filling fast: Join our 2026 tree planting team and make a lasting impact

Irving Woodlands is calling on passionate, hard-working individuals to join the 2026 tree planting season, and spots are filling up quickly! Being a tree planter is not just a summer job; it's an opportunity to make a difference for the environment, the economy and your community.
Since 1957, our dedicated teams have planted over one billion trees across our operations. In 2025 alone, 121 tree planters and 28 planting staff worked together to plant a record 29 million seedlings in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Maine — an 11-million increase over 2024. Each seedling is carefully matched to soil and climate, ensuring healthy growth and long-term carbon storage. These trees act as nature's air filters by removing CO₂ from the atmosphere.
What's in it for you? Tree planting is challenging and rewarding work. One tree planter can plant about 2,000 seedlings per day, leaving behind a legacy that lasts for generations. Along the way, you'll build skills in leadership, teamwork and environmental stewardship, all while earning competitive pay.
  • Tree planters: average $240/day
  • Tree care assistants: starting at $225/day
  • Crew foremen: up to $275/day (plus what you plant)
The season runs April to September, with a spring plant of 55+ days and a fall plant of 35+ days. Crews work three days on, one day off, and include a mix of community-based crews (return home nightly) and camp-based crews with first-class accommodations: private/semi-private rooms, professional chefs, Wi-Fi, games rooms and more.
If you're ready to work hard, make friends and help grow a sustainable future, apply now before spots are gone: https://forms.microsoft.com/r/sGpsbLiA4y
