Spotlighting Brooke for National Engineering Month
In recognition of National Engineering Month, meet Brooke with the Construction and Equipment Division.
Brooke joined J.D. Irving, Limited in April 2007 as a Process Engineer with Irving Wallboard in the Construction & Equipment Division and has continued to advance her career within the company ever since. Originally from Ontario, Brooke was eager to join a large-scale organization that offered exciting opportunities for professional development, which led her to apply to JDI.
Currently, Brooke leads a team of five as the Director of Continuous Improvement and Analytics. She really enjoys collaborating with various business units on their projects and helping to bring her team's expertise in statistical analysis to the table.
When asked what keeps her role engaging and interesting, Brooke shared, "I enjoy meeting with project leads and learning about the challenges they are trying to solve. I gain insights into the businesses, their obstacles and witness innovative ideas and solutions come to fruition."
Brooke takes pride in working at J.D. Irving, Limited, a company that values diversity and inclusivity. She continues to choose to build her career at JDI due to the opportunities and diverse roles available within the organization. Brooke is the perfect example of “Join One, Grow with Many” as she’s had the opportunity to work in six different roles, across four different businesses within JDI.
Since joining us in 2007, Brooke has completed several Six Sigma Continuous Improvement training programs. These opportunities have equipped her with valuable project management tools, which help her to effectively coach and train others while applying the techniques she learned.
