The 2023 Pulp & Paper Division developmental program recipients
J.D. Irving, Limited (JDI) is pleased to announce the 2023 Pulp & Paper Division developmental program recipients.
To help kickstart three future NBCC student careers, Evan Campbell, Seth Thompson and Evan Johnston have been awarded full tuition and books, a hands-on paid work experience and a full-time job after graduation. These New Brunswick students were selected based on their leadership ability, academic achievement and involvement in community/extracurricular activities.
Evan Campbell is a graduate of Rothesay High School who will be attending NBCC to study Process Control Technology. “Receiving this award means getting an opportunity to be acknowledged for my hard work, dedication and perseverance. I am very excited to start focusing on my studies and begin my journey of building an exciting and fulfilling career with JDI's Pulp & Paper Division.”
Seth Thompson, a graduate of Fundy Middle and High School, will continue his education at NBCC this fall studying Power Engineering Technology. “To be a recipient of this award is to receive recognition for my potential and dedication, making pathways to knowledge and opportunity.”
Evan Johnston from Sunny Corner is a North and South Esk Regional High School graduate who will be continuing his studies at NBCC taking Power Engineering Technology. “I am so honoured and very grateful for this opportunity and look forward to pursuing a career in Power Engineering with the Pulp & Paper Division.”
The Pulp & Paper Division developmental program was open to high school students entering their first year of NBCC in the following programs: Mechanical Technology, Power Engineering Technology, Technology and Process Control Technology.
