New product: JDI Sawmills produce tongue and groove boards
The J.D. Irving, Limited Sawmills division has recently rolled out a new product. Natural pine tongue and groove boards are now being sold in Home Depot locations across the United States.
The lightweight paneling offers a versatile option that is both traditional in form and modern in appearance. Tongue and groove boards can be used as wainscoting, for an accent feature or full wall coverage and as ceiling panels.
The tongue and groove boards are made from Eastern White Pine that is both strong and lightweight. Grown in a sustainably managed forest, the solid wood paneling also stores carbon long-term.
It’s produced in three locations by team members at the Dixfield Sawmill in Maine, the Doaktown Sawmill in New Brunswick and Cobleskill Value-Added in New York.
The product marks an expansion on the existing offerings of square fluted paneling and round fluted paneling, available at Home Depot locations across the United States and Canada.
This latest addition is yet another example of how the Sawmills division responds to customer demand by developing new products that keep on top of trends in interior design.
