Lance Fitzgerald's Career at Kent Line

Lance Fitzgerald has always been connected to the Saint John supply chain — first through family, and now through his work at Kent Line Agency. As a Warehouse Administrator, he manages shipping and receiving, playing a key role in keeping goods moving efficiently.

Kent Line is a marine agency, providing logistics services for vessels, ensuring efficient cargo handling, customs clearance and operational support. “I deal with purchasers, suppliers, logistics and customs teams locally and globally to ensure the safe and efficient movement of supplies for our customers,” Lance explains.

His passion for hands-on work started young. “I started working with my Dad at my grandfather’s pallet mill at a young age and that was where my love for work began.” From there, Lance held various roles, all involved in warehousing and production. Lance had started his Bachelor of Business Administration at the University of New Brunswick and decided, at 47 years old, to go back and finish his degree. In 2018, he graduated with high honours. “It was truly one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, aside from marrying my wife of course.”

Lance has now been working at Kent Line for over two years. He says he loves working on the team. “My favourite part of the job is working with a great team. We may be small in numbers, but we are first class,” he says. “It’s been a blast up to this point.”
