Construction is planned to be completed in phases, with 196 houses proposed at full build-out. There are 56 homes planned in the first phase. The project is currently going through a rezoning process with the Town of Riverview.

The proposed community will be built on land the company has owned for many years on Riverview’s west side, off Coverdale Road. All roads, water and sewer services within the development will be privately owned and operated and connected to the public system. A 60-metre tree buffer will be retained between the development and the nearest existing houses.

Designed with future residents in mind, the proposed neighbourhood will feature a large park with playground equipment and trails. Coverdale Road will also be upgraded with a turning lane to maximize safety and traffic flow in and around the development.

Amid the current housing market, the new community will help meet a growing demand for manufactured homes, which offer greater value than traditional single-family homes and can be built faster with less required construction labour inside a climate-controlled facility. The homes will be built by Kent Homes at their plant in Bouctouche, NB.

“For more than 60 years, Kent Homes has established a reputation as a leader of quality modular home construction,” said the company’s General Manager Jeremy Maxwell. “We look forward to continuing this tradition in Riverview.

Construction is anticipated to begin in 2025, pending rezoning approval.

The Modular Advantage

Kent Homes manufactures its units in an assembly line with the help of a team including skilled tradespeople, engineers, designers, sales and marketing staff, administrators and more. Modules are constructed in an indoor, climate-controlled facility using environmentally friendly products and building practices that minimize waste. This allows Kent Homes to complete projects on time and within budget.
