JDI on Campus Days Return this September
Fostering young talent is a rewarding and critical component of the recruitment strategy at J.D. Irving, Limited. With strong partnerships across Atlantic Canada’s post-secondary institutions, JDI is excited to announce that JDI on Campus Days are returning this September!
Students at the University of New Brunswick Fredericton (UNBF), University of New Brunswick Saint John (UNBSJ), and New Brunswick Community College Saint John (NBCC SJ) will have the chance to explore JDI career paths in their area of study. Students in Engineering, Business, Computer Science/IT, and Forestry faculties will receive focused information sessions and networking opportunities.
“We are looking for the leaders of tomorrow,” says Linda Speedy, Vice President of Human Resources at JDI. “We want to hire students with an interest and excitement for the future - those who bring energy and curiosity to their work. Extracurricular activities and volunteer work demonstrate an ability to juggle multiple responsibilities, which really stands out to us at JDI.”
Building off Linda’s insights, Gracelyn Kaine, Recruitment Specialist, highlights JDI’s commitment to student development. “Students represent the next generation of talent. We’re committed to providing mentorship, training opportunities, and a world-class hands-on experience. Long before students walk through our doors, we’re already laying the groundwork—building relationships and creating meaningful ways for them to feel connected from day one. Post-secondary institution partnerships and JDI on Campus Days are a cornerstone of that outreach. We are building the home team - where young professionals can join one and grow with many.”
