J.D. Irving Limited awards 11 recipients the Northern New Brunswick Trades & Engineering Scholarship

J.D. Irving, Limited's Woodlands and Sawmill divisions are pleased to recognize 11 students with the second annual Northern New Brunswick Traes & Engineering Scholarship. The scholarsip is being offered after a successful year last year and will continue to help support students build careers in high-demand fields within their local communities. Applications were open for grade 12 graduates and mature students interested in skilled trades or engineering who live in rural communities in northern New Brunswick.

The scholarship covers the cost of tuition (up to $5,000), ensures paid work terms during their studies and provides opportunities for full-time employment at JDI within the Sawmill or Woodlands divisions after graduation. Recipients were welcomed with a luncheon and tour of operations, where they gained insights into the working forest, safety, and how JDI is dedicated to the future workforce.
