J.D. Irving, Limited celebrates first graduates of French Leadership Fundamentals Program

J.D. Irving, Limited (JDI) is pleased to announce the graduation of 18 employees from the French Leadership Fundamentals Program. The 10-day course, held between September and December 2024, aimed to provide accessible and engaging learning experiences for new people-leaders across the organization. The cohort included leaders from the Woodlands, Sawmill and Kent divisions and the program covers topics such as change management, effective handling of confrontation and leadership behaviour.

Jerome Pelletier, Vice President - Sawmill division and Charles Cyr, Regional Manager, Woodlands/Sawmill, northern New Brunswick kicked off day one with a strong message emphasizing the importance of leaders in executing strategy, engaging employees and promoting a safety culture.

Offering the program in French ensures all employees have the opportunity to bring back valuable knowledge and skills to their team. This initiative demonstrates a dedication to providing equal professional development opportunities.

Mike Bujold, course facilitator, is proud of the northern New Brunswick team. "The Irving Way is well-embedded in our operations in northern New Brunswick. It's inspiring to hear some of the JDI stories from our employees, which have been passed down through their generations. They are a testament to our company values."

The company congratulates the graduates and looks forward to the positive impacts of their skills within JDI.
