Congratulations Jean

About five years ago, Jean Kelly decided that she was ready for a career change. An opportunity presented itself when New Boots began the Skilled Trades Exploration Program for Women (STEPW), offering women of diverse backgrounds and ages the change to begin a career in the trades.

Now, five years later, Jean has just successfully completed her Red Seal certification as an Industrial Electrician for NBM Railways. 

"When I started at the railway I was quite intimidated and afraid of how much work it would be to get my Red Seal," said Jean. "But now that I've done it and knowing that I did that - that's mine - it's a very rewarding feeling."
