Award of Distinction from the Modular Building Institute
Kent Homes has received an Award of Distinction from the Modular Building Institute in the category of Permanent Modular Social & Supportive Housing. The award, presented during the 2025 World of Modular event in April, was for the 10-unit apartment building located in Alberton, PEI which was completed with partners 720 Modular Solutions.
This project included:
-A total area of 6,146 square feet
-10 studio and one-bedroom units
-A shared laundry facility
-A 450-square-foot office space
The Alberton project exemplifies the vital role modular construction plays in quick turnarounds in rural locations. Given the shortage of skilled trades in PEI, Kent Homes was enlisted to assist in building the modules for the project for the client, 720 Solutions Inc. This partnership significantly expedited the timeline for the Alberton community, enabling the project to be completed in less than one year. Thank you to Modular Building Institute, 720 Modular and Canadian Mental Health Association (PEI Div)!
