Atlas Structural Systems expands to Mount Uniacke, NS

Mount Uniacke (NS) -- Atlas Structural Systems, a leading manufacturer of roof, wall and floor systems, is expanding to Mount Uniacke, NS. The new manufacturing plant will add capacity to the Nova Scotia market and reinforces the role Atlas plays in building more houses faster for Atlantic Canadian communities.

The new location will serve as an off-site construction facility for prefabricated wall, floor and stair panels that are used to build more affordable homes and multi-family buildings. The project represents an investment in equipment and automation, improving quality, efficiency and construction speed while lowering the carbon footprint.

The 90,000 square-foot facility on Alicia Scott Avenue will employ 60 people.

“We are pleased to add another location in Atlantic Canada, continuing a 35-year tradition of manufacturing excellence,” said General Manager, Marc Richard. “This investment is how we are doing our part to address the housing shortage we see in Atlantic Canada while providing jobs to the local community.”

The facility is anticipated to open in March 2025. Construction began in January.
