APTA Awards

Saint John, NB - RST and Sunbury Transport are proud to share that two of their employees have been named award winners by the Atlantic Provinces Trucking Association - Lori Knudson as Recruiter of the Year and Andrew Stefishyn with the Good Samaritan Award.

Lori, has been working in recruiting for RST and Sunbury since 2010, taking on several major initiatives including international recruitment. 

"Lori is truly deserving of the APTA Recruiter of the Year award. She commands deep respect from both the RST and Sunbury Operations Teams, as well as her peers in the trucking industry," said Stacey Miller, Director Human Resources at RST and Sunbury Transport. "Lori's proactive approach is evident in her consistent ability to source and recruit professional truck drivers from across the globe. We are exceptionally fortunate to have Lori at the helm of our RST and Sunbury Recruitment Strategies."

Andrew, a professional truck driver who joined our team in 2022, was awarded the Good Samaritan award for his quick reaction when arriving on the scene of an accident. Andrew's quick thinking to help an injured individual and wait with them while emergency services were dispatched show his willingness to to help out in any situation. 

"Andrew is a leader on our team, he is always the first to volunteer or help out when a problem arises," said Andrew Harley, Sunbury Chips Division Operations Specialist. "He is never short on ideas to help his co-workers and puts safety as a top priority.

We are extremely proud of our professional team both in the office and on the road, and know that without their hard work and dedication we wouldn't be where we are today.
