2024 Holiday Train

NB Southern Railway is proud to have partnered with the Make-A-Wish New Brunswick Chapter and First Steps Housing Project to once again present the 'Believe in Wishes' Holiday Train in Saint John. The train rides, which took place this past weekend, raised a total of $85,000 combined for the two organizations. 

Passenger cars decorated for the holidays could be seen around the Saint John area, taking families on a magical experience featuring hot chocolate, cookies and familiar holiday characters. 

“Make-A-Wish New Brunswick is thrilled to once again be a part of the Believe in Wishes Train Ride! Events like this help to grant wishes to the over 50 kids in New Brunswick waiting on the transformative power of their wish," said Alexis Gaiptman, Vice-President Eastern Canada Make-A-Wish-Canada.

The trains and staff were donated by NB Southern Railway and the charities hosted the events and sold tickets. The event was once again extremely popular, selling out in about two hours. 

"Thank you to everyone who purchased tickets for the Believe in Wishes Holiday Train," says Mallory Curwin, Executive Director at First Steps Housing Project. "Your generous support has made a lasting impact, helping to brighten the lives of the women and children at First Steps. Together, we are making a difference."

Next weekend, the train will be in Presque Isle, Maine, with proceeds going to the Hope and Justice Project and the Quoggy Jo Ski Centre.
