Does JDI cover my co-op tuition fee? Who is eligible for co-op fee reimbursement with JDI?
- Yes! As of January 2024, JDI is now reimbursing co-op fees up to $1,000for our students while they are completing a co-op with us. To be eligible, you must be enrolled in an active co-op program and be working in a paid position with JDI for a minimum of 12 weeks and be receiving credits toward your education. All students will be verified with their school’s co-op office prior to payment.

When do you recruit for the next student work term?
- All postings can be found on our career portal. Our job post schedule is as follows:
- - Jobs posted in January for student/co-op positions starting in May.
- - Jobs posted in May for student/co-op positions starting in September.
- - Jobs posted in Sept for student/co-op positions starting in January.
Do you have opportunities for students who aren’t in a co-op program?
- Yes! We hire co-op and non-co-op students during our summer (May – August) work term. Roles are typically posted in January.
Do you hire new graduates?
- Yes! Some of our divisions have roles that are made specifically for new graduates and we also have various entry level roles across our businesses that are the perfect start for new graduates.
Do you offer part time student/co-op work terms?
- Currently, we do not offer part-time student/co-op work term positions. However, we do have part-time opportunities available for students with our various retail locations.
Are there opportunities for full time employment after a work term with JDI?
- Yes! JDI values learning and development and part of that would be our high potential students continuing to grow within our organization.
What networking opportunities are available?
- During your student/co-op work term with JDI, there are various student events that give students the opportunity to meet each other. There are also events where students can meet and connect with senior leadership members.
