Halifax, NS: Cody McGregor, son of Rodney McGregor, Halifax Shipyard Machinist, and Lydia Hayward, daughter of Jonathan Smith, Halifax Shipyard Welder, were the first two recipients of the Irving Shipbuilding Scholarships. Kevin McCoy, President of Irving Shipbuilding, presented the $1,000 post-secondary scholarships at the company's quarterly employee information meetings.
(SAINT JOHN, NB.) – Babcock & Wilcox Canada Ltd. (B&W Canada) announced today that it has received an order from Irving Pulp & Paper, Limited to design, fabricate and field erect a pulp discharge tank at the West Side pulp mill site in Saint John, New Brunswick.
July 7 through July 12, 2014, over 200 people from First/Emergency Responders along the New Brunswick Southern railway (NBSR) including RST, NB Emergency Measures Organization, Saint John Police Department, Fire Departments (Saint John, Grand Bay Westfield, Welsford, Kennebecasis Valley, Fredericton Junction) and Transport Canada participated in tank car safety training sessions held in Fredericton Junction, Grand Bay Westfield, and Saint John.
