JDI’s Charlene Stoddard Wins Top Award in Canada

Congratulations to Charlene Stoddard for achieving the top certification award in Canada by the Canadian Payroll Association. Charlene received the award at the CPA National Conference in Vancouver in June. Charlene was also recognized recently for achieving the highest standing in the Atlantic Region.

NBSR Helps Celebrate the Sussex Train Station’s 100th Anniversary

New Brunswick Southern Railway helped celebrate 100 years of rail service at the Sussex Train Station this past Canada Day.  An NBSR passenger train took over 200 passengers on a two-hour trip to Moosehorn, NB and back as part of the celebration.

 

More Work, More Jobs at Shelburne Ship Repair

Shelburne Ship Repair has landed a contract that will employ 40 people over the next several weeks.  The refurbished and modernized yard welcomed the CCGS Ann Harvey to its Marine Railway on Friday, July 5.  The vessel is in for its routine annual maintenance and repairs.  Twenty-four additional people will be hired to complete the job.

 

JDI Helps with Habitat for Humanity Project

Spryfield, NS:  Several JDI employees from the Truro Sawmill volunteered their time and skills to help build a house for a Spryfield family of four.  The JDI sawmill also donated most of the lumber for the Habitat for Humanity project.
