Irving Woodlands, LLC and Irving Forest Products Inc. has been recognized for its dedication to Aroostook County through its investments in the region.  The company received the Business of the Year Award, presented by the Central Aroostook Chamber of Commerce this month in Presque Isle, Maine.

Irving Shipbuilding Update

In a technical briefing with media in Ottawa this morning, representatives from Public Works Government Services Canada, the Canadian Navy and Irving Shipbuilding provided an overview of the Arctic Offshore Patrol ship program including the ship’s design and capability, the number of ships to be built and the construction schedule.

 

Halifax Shipyard Modernization Update

Another milestone has been reached for Irving Shipbuilding's Ultra Hall Production Building, which is under construction at Halifax Shipyard.  On November 4, 2014, video camera drones captured the first day of installation of two new bridge cranes, which will be used to lift large blocks and mega modules during ship assembly. Each crane will lift up to 200 tonnes.
