Moncton: J. D. Irving, Limited contributed $100,411.16 to the Greater Moncton and Southeastern New Brunswick United Way 2015 Campaign.
The Moncton-based companies were recognized as the best overall corporate campaign for organizations with 151 employees or more. The company was also fourth in the corporate top 10 fundraisers of 2015 and received the Outstanding Leadership Growth Award and the Quantum Leap Award for the significant increase in their campaign.
Michael Hogan, who is part of the Career Track program, was the 2015 Campaign Coordinator for J.D. Irving, Limited in Moncton.
“I really enjoyed working with the committee to raise money for such an important organization in our community. Everyone worked hard to make this year’s campaign a big success,” said Hogan.
“We would like to thank J.D. Irving, Limited’s Moncton-based companies, all its employees and a very hard working and dedicated United Way committee for another great campaign. This has been a very exciting year for us all with the first Midland United Way Truck pull, and then everyone coming together for J.D. Irving’s greatest campaign to date,” said Debbie McInnis, Executive Director of the United Way of Greater Moncton and Southeastern New Brunswick. “When we all come together, great things happen!”

The 2015 United Way campaign raised a total of: $1,471,616 – the most in 30 years.
The record was broken by 5,000 individuals, workplaces, unions, and foundations that gave to the United Way Saint John, Kings and Charlotte in 2015.
With a donation of $20,000, J.D. Irving, Limited was recognized as one of the top five companies who contributed to the campaign. When all JDI companies’ contributions are added, the total donated to the Saint John campaign is over $80,000.
The contribution of $20,000 from J.D. Irving, Limited will be given to two organizations that make a difference in the lives of youth in the Saint John community; Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Boys and Girls Club.
Ten volunteers spent over 500 hours reviewing grant applications in a three-phase process to select nearly 20 organizations that will receive funding from the campaign.
