Moonlight Snowshoeing

With the full moon falling on the weekend, we’ll have plenty of light as we travel to Sheldon Point via snowshoes. Members of the local chapter of the Royal Astronomical Society will have their telescopes set up for viewing. Bring a flashlight in case the moon ducks behind some clouds, a mug for hot chocolate, and of course, snowshoes.

 

Kent Homes Summer Student Receives 2015 MBI Canadian Foundation Scholarship

Cynthia Léger from Sainte-Anne, New Brunswick has worked on projects at Kent Homes as a summer student over the last three years and has been awarded the Modular Building Institute (MBI) Canadian Foundation $2500 annual scholarship. Léger is a 4th year civil engineering student from Université de Moncton (U de M).

 

Multi-Year Forest Songbird Habitat Study on JDI Land

J.D. Irving, Limited (JDI) has partnered with Natural Resources Canada, Carleton University, and Environment and Climate Change Canada on a 5-year songbird habitat research project on JDI land in Northern New Brunswick. 

 

Field Trips to Bald Hill Quarry

Saint John: Gulf Operators is pleased to host field trips to the Bald Hill Quarry for children from local schools in the Saint John and surrounding area. Six classes from schools in the area visited the quarry this year to learn about our operations and the importance of aggregate rock. Over 400 children have attended the quarry since the tours began in 2006.
