Finding a path with JDI IT

Harold Anderson, a Senior IT Systems Auditor with JDI IT, is a familiar face in the division who has a drive for protecting the organization from risk. Active in the cybersecurity community, Harold has found a rewarding career in the area of risk management.

Through his role with JDI IT, Harold is able to pursue a career he loves in his hometown. He returned to Saint John after cultivating his skills and experience in western and central Canada.

Harold has almost 30 years of experience in the IT industry – 16 of them with JDI IT.

“I am actively involved in supporting JDI’s IT Risk Management Program, which aims to enable informed decision-making to reduce organizational risk for both JDI IT and its clients,” Harold said. “I take pleasure in collaborating with diverse teams within JDI IT and beyond.”

Harold also volunteers with the ISACA (Information Systems Audit and Control Association) Atlantic Provinces Chapter, where he delivers webinars on audit, privacy, risk and cybersecurity.

“This experience has been incredibly rewarding, providing valuable networking opportunities, educational resources and participation in conferences,” Harold said.

Harold said he has not followed a pre-defined career path, instead advancing by “adapting to the ever-changing environment.” This led him to the area of risk management, a career direction Harold said he’s come to embrace.

“During my 16-year tenure with JDI IT, I have observed substantial transformations in the technology landscape,” Harold said. “Despite these shifts, JDI IT has consistently upheld its status as an industry leader, characterized by a team of knowledgeable and collaborative talent.”
